A Walk Through Vilnius: FinTech, Scaling, and Asking Why

Gintautas Mezetis on a FinTech Walk & Talk interview in Vilnius

I joined Aleksejus Loskutovas for the latest episode of his FinTech Walk & Talk series – an hour on foot through Vilnius, talking about FinTech, scaling, risk, and AI.

A few of the threads we pulled on:

  • Scaling. “When a company has 10 people, everyone knows everything. At 20 people, communication becomes harder.” The problem, more often than not, is not a lack of people. It is a lack of clarity.
  • Definitions. “Everybody thinks they agree. Until you ask them to define it.”
  • AI. “Not to replace experts, but to preserve expertise” – moving what people know into systems, processes, and organisational memory.
  • The habit underneath all of it. Keep asking why.

The full walk-and-talk – including the app I named as my favourite, and why – is on Aleksejus Loskutovas’s FinTech Walk & Talk series.
